This lick just blew me away when I heard it. I am trying to link files to the net now and this is a small mp3 that I did to practice this lick. Let me know if you all get it and any critics are always appreciated.

Larry,

It is Daryle Singletary's album "That's why I Sing This Way".

Some absolutely great steel on the entire album.

Regards,

Mark T.

The tab for this great turnaround is right here on the site. Do a search in the Tab section for I Never Go Around Mirrors. There are several versions here.

If you want to hear another interpretation of this, check out the other sound byte on my website. That was the turnaround that Paul Franklin did on the Keith Whitley version. The tab for that is at Rebel's I believe.

Thanks for all the kind words everyone. I appreciate it.

Bye the way, I will post the rhythm track for this as well. If you want it to practice with just download it and enjoy.

Good job, sounds great. I bought this CD when I heard all the rave reviews about it on the Forum. While the overall style of Mr. Singletary is a bit on the twangy side for my taste, Mike Johnson's work is absolutely superb. Being rather new to the steel (less than five years), I believe this was the first time I ever knew who he was. What a tasteful player!

Didn't he do the steel work on Brad Paisley's new album also? Great steel work on this CD also.

Mike has the best tone of all the modern session men in my humble opinion - along with Paul F of course.
