Tom - the tone of your guitar on "In Time" is to die for. Was it a DI job or a mike in front of your amp. Hope you are well.

Ken, Tom is recovering from a recent back surgery so he probably doesn't get on here that much.

Tom miked his amplifiers on the "In Time" cd. He used his S-11 Mullen, S-11 Anapeg, and 7 string bakelite Rickenbacker through 2 59' Fender Bassman reissue amplifiers with JBL D-130's in each, and they were miked.

This is a great CD, and Tom's tone is to die for!!!

Thanks Greg - I appreciate your update on Tom. The whole album is beautifully played with loads of feel. It's one of my all time favourite steel recordings. The engineer and producer should be very proud as they did a grand job.

Ken, sorry I didn't answer right away. I am recovering from back surgery and I'm doing so much better. I had Curt Shoemaker and Steinar Schroeder from Norway call me and tell me there was some questions to answer on the forum. Thanks Greg for covering for me and answering correctly.
Thanks, Ken, for your interest and I'm glad you enjoyed the album.

Thanks for replying Tom. The pedal steel is not the best instrument in the world to carry around if you have back problems. Glad you are recovering well.
Regards
Ken
