I just thought I would share the news that I am going to marry the love of my life on Feb. 8th. She really is the reason I play, considering that she bought my first steel!

Congratulations, Jake. Despite all the bad jokes about marriage, I think it beats all the alternatives ... particularly if you're married to a woman who buys you guitars! (I speak from personal experience.)

Good luck --

Jake
I had that experience once also about 25 years ago, I came home from a gig it was about 2:30 and there was a single neck Sho-bud wrapped with a red bow. Never forgot that, Good luck on your upcoming Wedding..

Congrats, Jake - I just topped 1 year of marriage and it's a beautiful thing. Don't let anybody tell you otherwise! Imagine her patience - I took up pedal steel in earnest about 5 months into our marriage...and she's still around!
