Are you practicing for your Convention set?
I've got a 20 min set worked up for thursday.
Hopefully I'll be able to get through it without losing it!
I know we have some new names on the main show this year... How 'bout it?!
And do the Ol' Pro's worry about this kinda stuff?
ps
I've got some new (and old) rhythm tracks for the Sierra Demo room also, so stop by and say hi!

I'll be lucky to be in "playing" shape by then. For St. Louis, I would have normally had my set list figured out, and practiced it for a couple of months. Since I wasn't confirmed until a week and a half ago, I just got my set list together Sunday...
I actually decided to play all new songs (for me) live. I figured that I might as well play some things that are fun for me, and hope that the audience doesn't throw me out!
I still remember playing on the Talent Show my first year (1987). My right foot quivered so much on the first 8 bars of "A Way to Survive", that it must have sounded like a trembolo effect...
Looking forward to seeing all of you there,
:-)

Sorry I won't make it in time for the Thursday afternoon sets. Will be there shortly after though.
Yeah, I remember my first ever gig as a steel player, and my right foot did the same thing!
It's going to be a great weekend. |
