For a number of reasons I've been unmotivated to practice and play steel for the past couple of years. Well, today I've been working through some CD-based training at work, which requires that I wear headphones for the audio. So it followed naturally to pop DRIVE in the "drive" once I completed the training.
I think the intro/turnaround on "When Love Comes Around" is motivation enough to get me back playing. Paul Franklin nails it! Nothing complicated, just crisp, clean and purely country. The whole album is great stuff, but that one really got me. AJ and producer Keith Stegall seem to remember that a country intro requires steel guitar.
I feel that "Work In Progress" was written about me, but I'm sure many others feel the same.

I like that CD a lot.
I'm surprized "Designated Drinker" never became a hit. Probably wasn't released as a single due to "political correctness".
Tab and sound bytes of it are at http://users.interlinks.net/rebel/steel/2002.html

FYI Joey, it seems that there's a string line missing in your tab. In both the intro and turnaround, the first line of tab is missing string 7 and it looks like the tab is shifted up one string. |
