Are there any forum members who might have crossed paths or know about this guy? He was originally from Tracy, north California and played steel with country bands in the 50's. Later on he joined the US Air Force, became a pilot and was stationed in Illesheim, Germany in -62 -64. Just curious, thanks!!

I'm still working with one of Eddie Gabbard's old Northern California buddies Ed Clark. Ed is probably the best all around acoustic bass man I ever worked with. He talks about Eddie from time to time. As I recall, he says Eddie moved to Florida after he left the Air Force, opened a business there and died a few years ago. Hope this helps clear things up.

Many Thanks Michael!! Actually Eddie moved to Alabama and passed away in -79. I visited his family a few weeks back, they still lived in the same house. I saw lot of pictures from way back, Ed Clark probably was in some of them, but I can't tell for sure, there were no names written.
