I Met Carl West Today

I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Carl West this afternoon at a small Coffeehouse in downtown Brea, Ca.
Spent about 3 hours with him chatting about the Bakersfield sound and Country music in general in the late 50's and 60's.
He shared a wealth of knowledge with me and I really enjoyed it. Was most definitely time well spent and I look forward to future meetings as well.
If you are in this region and have not yet met Mr. West you should do so at your earliest convenience. He was both a gentleman and a scholar and I am thankful he took the time to share with me some of the history behind such a great era in Country music.
Thanks for your time Carl.
