Buddy, Did you use the C6th all the way on your cut of Elton John's Blue Eyes ? What a great cut with feeling.

Thanks Buddy, Been a long time since the Foothill club and George's Roundup when you use to drop by when I worked with Wynn Stewart. Thanks again for the reply.

that is soooooo cool you got to work with Wynn Stewart! He's one of my two favorite country singers of all time. Sadly, these days when I mention his name, I all too often get, "who?". What a darn shame, that guy should've been huge.

I think it was his base player who wrote that song out by his pool early one morning right here in Phoenix. It was one of his band members.

He said it was the worst selling song he ever recorded because of all the air play it recieved.

Bob.

Dale Noe wrote the song, he was Wynn's guitarist in 1968-1969, but had known Wynn since the 1950s and worked all over Nevada, California, Nashville and Arizona.

Dale apparently briefly worked with Waylon in his Phoenix days, plus late Forumite Bob Taylor and many others.
Quite a few people told me that he had passed away, then Colin Escott interviewed him for the Wynn Stewart box set, so he was very much alive. Wynn must have recorded a dozen or so Noe recordings.
Bob Carlson, thanks for reminding me about Dale Noe, a great songwriter.
