Hope several of you got to hear Buddy & Hal on the Eddie Stubbs show. He did great interviews and played several of their recordings. He played a swing tune by Buddy and also a gospel medley and " Witches Brew"-he told of the way he came to work out the tune. He also discussed the start of sho-bud and Emmons-very interesting and informative. Hearing Buddy do " Just a Closer Walk" reminded that the pedal steel is the most beautiful instrument of any ever designed and built!

I hate that I didn't get to hear that. Anyone know if WSM archives Eddie's show online anywhere?

Yes, they archive the "Best Of Eddie Stubbs" on http://www.wsmonline.com but the archives are down until 7/11. I listened to a great show with Eddie and Johnny Bush last week. Since this show was at least of that caliber, I certainly hope they choose to archive it.

We should all be thankful for Eddie Stubbs. Not only is he one of the nicest guys in Nashville, he loves old country and bluegrass music, and is a walking encyclopedia about it, as well. Plus, Eddie's one of the best breakdown fiddlers in the world. Go get 'em, Eddie!

All those old Gospel songs do justice to the steel. The other way around also.

WSM Online is back up, and the Eddie Stubbs page is here: http://wtn-stream.alsw.com/archive.asp?SHOW=ess I don't see any new archives yet, but you can listen to the Johnny Bush interview while waiting for Emmons and Rugg to show up.
