I've been reading and following for a while and am enjoying it all. I am new to the instrument, about 6 mos. Sierra 12 string Universal.
I am from Washington State, but am working in Scottsbluff, Nebraska for the next 3-4 months and would like to hook up with some players and take some lessons. I'm not a novice musician, so this is a serious inquiry. Played lead and bass for 35 years or so.
Can anyone give me some direction for this area? All help is appreciated.
Thank You.

Pat: Welcome ... To answer your question, here's one idea for you:
You might list yourself here: www.OnLineSteelers.com Directory and see if any others listed there are in your area or if they know anyone who is ...
Again ... welcome!

I think from where you are the best direction is about 15 hours straight South.
Regards, fred
Are you close to Ionia, Kansas? |

Thanks for your responses. Oklahoma is good, too. Met some players at Pioneers of Western Swing Convention in Seattle last year. Chuck Hayes(PSG). , Bob Cobb, from Western Swing Society of the Southwest. Lots of other good pickers, too. A longtime personal friend and fellow picker, Keith Holter, was inducted into Seattle's Hall of Fame
Also attended POW Convention in Sacramento last summer. Good pickers there, too. Met a good player with a good band. Buck Allen and the Buckshots. Lots of other good players there, too. Any of you at these, maybe we have met.
Anyway, stil looking for some instruction relatively close to the Nebraska panhandle. Apprciate any help. |
