Back on Lead Guitar again, Phooey!!!

I've been with a band for the last couple of years called "The Legends" here in southeast Virginia. We have a great steel guitarist by the name of Larry Sutphin who's also our lead vocalist. Larry took the whole month of October off and I sing worse than Kenny Dail so we hired a lead man who could sing and I went on steel for the month. I was a little out of practice at first and really would rather play lead but now I'm sorry to go back on the guitar. It's been a great month and I've been getting some chops back and really have a yearning to become a steel man again. I'd forgotten how satisfying it was to play steel. People love the thing as much as we all do! And another great perk is YOU GET TO PLAY SITTING DOWN ALL NIGHT!

Jerry...you must be gettin' old. I told you not to give up your day job and stick to steel. Maybe now you will listen to your "illegitamate Dad."

Come on Jerry, admit it. You'd rather sit down and play all night than stand up.
Best, Boomer

Joe is learning to play Keyboard, what can you expect from a keyboard guy, Just slightly more than you can from a Drummer.

Hey Joe,
I called John a few weeks ago for a well paying Bass job at the Norfolk Yacht Club but he delined saying he wasn't going to play bass anymore as he said "It might mess up my nails, and I'm working on my guitar". Ol' John's got nails like a lower Broadway Harlot! The boy can really snag them boogers with the pinky on his pickin' hand!
