Hey, Buddy, this is Brett, the steel player with cerebral palsy. I hear you're playing at the Ernest Tubb Record Shop in Nashville. The place where Sho-Bud was is now Robert's Western Wear. I saw a steel guitar in the Country Music Hall Of Fame with a hat laying beside the tuning pegs and I wonder if it was yours. I know there's a Derby steel that belonged to you that's on display in there beside Shot Jackson's dobro. I'm practicing my steel every day. Brett, Emmons S-10

Hi Brett,
The hat is my Derby, but the steel in the showcase is the first Sho~Bud I built for myself. They originally asked for a Derby hat, a bar, and a set of picks, but seeing as how the Sho~Bud company originated in the Nashville area, I thought it might offer some historical value for the city.

Bobby, I have a derby that was Buddy's. I caught it when he threw it in the audience in St' Louis a few years back. He even signed it for me. And no it's not for sale.
