Just back from the Brisbane show. Lots of fun. About 20 players. The usual run of local Brisbane talent (Warren Neilsen, Barry Phillips, Des Anthony, Noel Anstead, etc.), the crew from Sydney (Graham Griffiths and Tommi Grasso and his left-handed Emmons), and others-- like me from NZ, Princess Owana Salazar from Hawaii, Sarah Jory and Band from the UK, and Joe Wright from the USA.
It was a hot show-- especially Sarah and Joe. They really pulled out all the stops.
Lots of fun.
Spent time with Noel looking at some new guitars he is building, and admiring the wood he's using.
Didn't feel like lugging my guitar, since it is too heavy to get by as "hand luggage" and 4 of the six trips I've had I had to pay extra for the "overweight". John Guye from the goldcoast has a Universal MSA on a double body, and Noel put most of my tuning on it. Managed pretty well with it.
On the Saturday before, Joe did a great seminar with about 30 people showing up.
Next year... same time... same place!
