I was listening to J B'S tape Semi Crazy. Does he really do all the pedal steel work and regular guitar work on it. It is very diverse.

Yes he really does. I've seen him live and he's amazing. I've heard him described as somewhere between Leon Rhodes and Jimi Hendrix and I think that would be about right.

tb Henry-if you are hearing what sounds like pedal steel then it is Junior playing his Sho-Bud-not all of the steel on Juniors recorded songs is played on the steel neck of the Guit-Steel-if you listen to his pedal steel playing you can hear that he was influenced by Lloyd,Hal,and Buddy C-Junior is an accomplished player with pedals

JB is the reason I got into steel, after years of thinking about it, finally had a Fender Deluxe 8 come my way. Not much steel here in CT, hard to find. Pedals or not, fantastic player.

J.B. was playing a lot of pedal steel during the 70's. One of my favorites that he played on C6th was I Left My Heart In San Francisco.

JB was on David Letterman playing in the band so we never got to see him much but I wached all the show to see what I could of him.
