I just got this CD produced by our fellow forumite Mark Van Allen. It's really very good. It's not so much a steel guitar recording as a band recording in which the steel plays an integral part.

Some people here don't like any kind of music with a banjo, and I have to say I'm not partial to bluegrass in general. But Mark's bluegrass-country-rock fusion band has taken the music to a whole new level.

Congratulations on producing a fine CD Mark. I hope it goes double platnum.

Hey Mike , I agree. You REALLY ought to see these guys live. It blows the CD away ten-fold. The steel work at the live shows is alot more prominant. I tried to talk them up on the forum before but no one really seemed very interested. They are very nice guys too and very happy to talk to fans/fellow musicians. Its a shame that some people snub their noses at some music simply because it has some banjer in it ya know. To me that makes as much sense as not hookin' up w/ a hot girl just becase she has an ugly friend. Hey...Ignore the friend!!! -Brandon

It is really a sight to see......long haired hippies dancin' and groovin' to the sound of a pedal steel guitar and phase shifter banjo. I started having flash-backs from the early 70's when I saw BGUG at the Exit/In in Nashville.
I think I would label this band as: Rockin-West Coast Funk-Folk Music Scare-JazzGrass.

These guys are,(like we use to say a "couple" o' years ago,) "uptight & outta sight!!". I caught 'em twice,at the Exit Inn,here,in NashVILE. Mark also produced,& recorded the album,in his own studio.

Thanks for the Kudos, guys. We're getting pretty good reviews on this one so far, and I hope there's something most steelers would like on there. b0b should have some in stock at the forum store soon, but in the meantime you can order direct from me if you'd like one.

Hi, Steve, we're hoping to get out there this year, probably around the time of the High Sierra Festival, which we're scheduled for. I hope it works out better than last time we played San Fransico- and were on our way to the Oregon Country Fair when we got slammed by an 18 wheel gravel truck. That was the end of our first Silver Eagle. New bus and a new year will be good luck I hope!
