I just heard a fellow steeler named "Mike Headrick" on Bill Naumans Emmons84 Steel Guitar Radio website. He was playing an instrumental called "San Antonio Slant". Some of the best 4/4 Shuffle Steel Guitar I've heard in a long time. Honestly, this is the way I've wanted to play ever since I took up the Steel. Does anyone know Mike who can put me in touch with him. I've just got to meet this guy and get aquainted. Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks, Nick

Nick, Mike lives in South Pittsburg Tennessee. He has a studio there and records a lot of area acts. The group my son plays with did a record there not long ago so I should be able to get you a phone number. Mike also plays great lead guitar and harmonic.

Dear Nick,

Mike Headrick is a good friend of mine. I've known him for over 30 years. He lives about 30 miles from Chattanooga, TN. He has an excellent studio there. I recorded one of my albums in 1985 called: "Herby Wallace, Thumbs Carlille & Co.". Also, Mike and I used to play in bands together around Chattanooga many years ago. Mike played guitar and I played steel. He is an excellent musician and plays several instruments very well. On the album I mentioned, besides doing the engineering, he played harmonica and some string lines on it.

His studio is called: Mikron in South Pittsburg, TN, and his number is: 423/837-7152. Also, Mike will be playing on the steel guitar show in Chattanooga this coming April.
