Got To Play With Byron Berline

I finally had an opportunity to play with Byron Berline last night. It was a real treat to play with him and his great band! He has his Double Stop Fiddle Shop & Music Hall here in Guthrie, and performs twice a month. In the past, Al Perkins and Jay Dee Maness has played his show (both were on his new cd), and it was a kick to try to cover their licks on a few songs. It was also great to play to 200+ very appreciative people in a room that was roughly 25' X 75' in size!!!

I hadn't played since October at the Always...Patsy Cline show in OKC, so I got it out of the garage Friday night to thaw- out.(Probably should have got it out a week ago)Surprisingly, I got settled-in after a few songs, and the night went well. I got invited back, and that makes me really happy!
