Post by Bill Myrick »

Did several of you hear him on the 8:30 portion ? I didn't catch the title of the song but some thing like "Christmas With You"
Ricky Davis flat cooked the turnaround "Well Done" !!!! Ricky if you did that on a ShoBud, any chance you could install those shots in mine ? Image

Hey Bill thanks for listening pal. Yes that was my ShoBud......but I have no idea what I played(which I usually do); so I can't install anything for you at this time>> Image Image Image Image Otherwise I would....ha.
I got so far extended out at the other end of 3 steels already up there; I was completely on the other side of the "Barn" from the rest of the band....I was playing all by myself......and have no idea if I even played with them boys or not. Imagine if you have your Radio playing in your living room and you and your steel were waaaay out in the garage....and you are trying to play to it....?? As soon as you play one note...you cover up what you are straining to hear in the first place....Well that was my Opry experience this time.....Tommy said he does not like it there much at the Ryman for sound and accomodation reasons......and now I have to agree.
It was fun though....especially getting to go over to Lloyd Green's house most the day on Wed. and Seeing Seymour's new store and hangin with Smiley and Hughey and hearing John just play the livin' Dog**** out of that beautiful all natural wood Zum on another day...and Of course the absolute genuine kindness my good friend Tommy White gave me on my visit...
See ya next time.
