How do you look for just steel guitars on EBAY without going through 1000 of pages of all kinds of guitars? Thanks for your help!!

Ben, in the search window, type in pedal steel guitar. That should bring you what they have. You can also try just steel guitar, lap steel or a particular brand name. |

You can set up a personal "My Ebay" page and list several search cells. When you sign in, and go to your "My Ebay" page, then to the "favorites" heading, all you have to do is click on the search cell, and it will show everything matching the search criteria. You can also keep a watch list of up to 20 items, which is nice also. I try "Steel guitar", and "Pedal Steel", which catches most of the listings.
Ebay also has a "Going, Going, Gone" feature that lists everything in a specified category that is ending in the next 5 hours. I like to check this out a couple of times a day, although it makes me spend a lot of money on good deals I think I need.

Another tool is the "-" sign. Whenever you use the "-" sign the search will delete any items containing the word you put after the sign. For instance if you put in the search box "guitar -6 -epiphone" the search results will exclude any items that have 6 or epiphone in its title.

Type steel guitar, into the search. Also click the box to search the descriptions, too.

If you find something good, don't think you'll get it unless you bid in the last 30 seconds of the auction. |

Hey Ben, once in a Blue Moon one of the old Cimmaron singles pops up on E-Bay as well. |

Jason, what a memory you have. I suppose the old Cimmaron records that my band made are going on E-Bay for about a nickle and that may be too much ( ha ha ) I still have a few that I kept for some reason and they stink.
Happy holidays

Ben, you are 'way too modest. You ain't never played anything that stunk. You have been a great player ever since I have known you and that has been a LONG time, like 45 years?? Happy Holidays, Ben!!!!!!!!

Aww Ben, you know that us collector types are always after cool rare stuff, personally if I could afford it, I'd hunt down a copy of all the Longhorn and Cimmaron singles and albums.
I think if Leon was still with us we'd have a Cimmaron box set or something out.
I've got a compilation LP of Dewey Groom singles, and there's a Wills collection of his Longhorn material that's out, so they've got some product out, we just need some Cimmaron now. |
