Just a quick note in thanks to all those at the PSGA for inviting me this past weekend to perform. I'd never played at a steel show before and I was plenty nervous, but Bob Maickel,Mike Gross, and Jeff DiMaio sure put me at ease and made me feel like part of the "family". I was so nervous that I forgot to thank the band during my set, so I'd like to do it now. Van and Larry, you guys are the tops! Steve Alcott helped me prepare my charts ahead of time and really wet nursed me through the whole ordeal. Not only is Steve a brilliant bassist but a truly reliable friend. Finally, thanks to all those who sat through my set, especially those to came up to me later and told me that they enjoyed it!

I would like to add the same thanks to the PSGA and all you guys myself.
It was nice to see that the music I play when nobody is telling me what to do has a bit of an audience in the steel guitar scene.

I want to thank my band which consisted of Doug Wieselman playing bass clarinet.

I couldn't stick around because I had a country gig that night. It was weird looking across the PSGA stage to see one of my main heros ,John Hughey, tuning up while I was making a real racket on that last noise/video piece I played. Later that night I was playing "Look at us" for a bunch of dancers in New Hampshire.

Jon, you did a great job, I really enjoyed it. Bob, it was the first time I heard that style of music played with a steel guitar and bass clarinet. It was different and I appreciate you taking the steel guitar to another style of music. Country music is my first love, but it shows that the steel guitar, can be used in any style of music.
