Ricky Davis and Dale Watson in Sweden

Dale Watson´s gig in Mora, Sweden, tonight was cancelled because a swedish band with a similar target group of listeners is playing nearby (according to the arranger), but luckily Dale and Ricky et al will be at the Central Café in Gävle Sunday october 28 at 8 o´clock in the evening – an early show, thus. I´ve just talked to Ricky by phone – they are currently heading by bus towards Brålanda for a sound check, and they had so much fun, that I could hardly hear what Ricky was saying. And that´s a good omen, ain´t it? If I´m correctly updated they´ll be in Stockholm oct 25, in Hagfors oct 26, in Västerås oct 27 and in Gävle oct 28.
I´ll drop a new little report after the Gävle gig.

Hey Anders it was good talking to you my friend and look forward to meeting you at the gig you are coming to. Remember to call Kent for the guest list so you can just come right on in pal.
Johan; snaps some shots of the case pal and put them up here...I believe there is alot of guys on here that would like to see what we were talking about.
I'm held up in Halmstad, Sweden right now for a few days off; then we are back at it till the 29th...then back home to the states.
There should be the rest of the Sweden dates right here...

Hi Ricky!
Nice to talk to you too, even though my english is pretty wrinkled!
I usually walk right in with a press ID, but thanks anyway! I´ll bring a tape recorder so I can mix interviews and music and put it on air here in Dalarna (The Valleys) later on. Surf in at
http://www.sr.se/dalarna/ if you´re qurious to see us at Radio Dalarna, whwere I work.
How do you like Kent, by the way? I would say he´s big, noisy, friendly and sometimes a bit scatter-brained - ain´t he? Luckily Zak and the others minds the business for him.
We lived in Halmstad for 5 years when I was a sailor, and if you happen to run into one of three big white Mexi-brick houses at Snöstorpsvägen 12 (I think - not sure any longer), we used to live in one of the apartements there. Hope you enjoy Halmstad (Straw Town) - it´s a nice place.
See you in Gävle!
Anders

Well... I expected Ricky Davis to be a good picker, and now I know he´s yet one more who is a lightyear or two ahead of me, and furthermore a really nice guy! Ricky, Dale & Co did a really great show in Gävle! - I´ve just gotten home after watching it.
What´s really the secret behind the fact that USA produces so many extremely good musicians? I suspect the open mindedness, the optimism, the generousity and several other typical and really good american properties.
I´ll tell you when I have developed the pics from the show and put them on the web. Right now I gotta go to sleep! It´s 2 30 at nite over here in the old world.
Zzzzznork!
