I've been doing a bit of listening to MP3.com's Western Swing channel lately and am hearing some nice bands with great steel work. Most recently I've heard Kent Gray (apparently out of Tennessee) and Five Wheel Drive (also out of Tennessee).

I don't know who plays steel for these folks, but I'd like to find out. Incidently Five Wheel Drive will be in Nashville tonight at the Stage on Broadway at 9PM according to the listing on MP3.com.

So, who are these folks?

Hi Bill - how goes it? We (Tina and I) still laugh about flying to Vegas to find a smokey old bar to hear a steel player. Very cool time - shame you are so far away.

I have Mike Headrick's album and have listened to Buzz and Gary several times as well.

There is a lot of good music out there. Shame more of it isn't on the radio.

Take care,
