Steelin' in Dallas

Hey!
Anyone out there know where I can go catch some good steelin in the Dallas/Ft. worth area any time soon? (excluding Billy Bobs and stadium shows)

Well, just about every weekend. Gary Carpenter and Junior Knight play regularly in DFW. Reece Anderson plays nearly every Fri. and Sat. night at Johnny High's in Arlington. He ain't too shabby either!

This is my favorite place to party/play in Ft. Worth. Big Balls is a small club that's big on fun and real country music. Take it from their motto: "No dancin' on the tables with yer spurs on; $50 fine for line dancin'; If you didn't come to party, take yer dead a$$ home"....and they always feature western swing and honky-tonk with a ton of steel (no pun intended). Just last Saturday (Oct. 6) they had Craig Chambers and the Time Warp Tophands featuring the fabulous pickin' of Tom Morrell (I can't figure out why the strings on his axe don't melt when he picks 'em).

Brandon, right down the road from you. W. Northwest Hwy and Loop 12, the Top Rail and Cowboy's Red River are within a few blocks of each other. At least 5 or 6 nights a week, live music. Good players at both places.
