I heard last night on "Blues From the Jukejoint" (Robert Barclay's NPR program) that the Twang Bangers will be in the Detroit area for one show real soon, maybe this coming weekend. Wish I could attend. Robert played some of their material, including Bill Kirchen's live version of "Hot Rod Lincoln" in which Bill mentions and plays licks from every famous guitar player there ever was, other than Andre Segovia. If anyone has the details on this upcoming show, please post them. From what Robert said, this is a show that every musician, especially every Telecaster slinger or rock-n-roll steel player, should see!
