For those who might have missed this, newbies, old timers who saw it the first time, and whoever else gives a darn:

the more things change the more they remain the same.

True, then again, there's comfort in consistency, sort of like talking about the weather in LA; and at least we're talking. I had a few posts and threads that didn't get a warm reception, and while I think it's a more interesting conversation if you don't agree with me, I'm also a guest here, so if you don't like what I'm talking about, we don't have to talk about it. I think all in all, there have been some great posts, replies and camaraderie, and if every reply was a profound observation on our earthly condition, I for one, couldn't take it for very long.
You ever spend a lot of time talking to drummers?

I think that if arguing over whether a U12 is better than a D10 helps people get their minds off of the real problems at hand, then I'm all for it. It beats reading that toxic spew on the Off Topic board.

...Dave, I must respectfully disagree with items 1 and 2...anyone's opinion which is different than mine isn't worth wet dog feces...and may your B pedal make a good boot scraper..
...Donny, is that the Grand Ol' Oprah?...

Dave - What about guitar color? What about tuning issues (JI vs ET)? What about stainless vs nickle strings?

I think you ought to put that list out as required reading for Forum newbees - all the major themes in a nutshell! By the way Dave, the resolution my monitor is kind of weak - is that a bar or a ham sandwich you're holding in your left hand?

Andy - I'm not sure, but I think it may be a Hostess Twinkie.

Hostess Twinkies have a shelf life of 200 years.

...it's a ham sandwich
...it's a twinkie...
Wait- you're both right!
It's also a dessert topping...
I may miss very few meals, but I generally don't ingest foodstuffs over my strings..
and having been accused of being "ham handed" before I'll let it slide... heh heh...slide.... get it?
I think what you are seeing is my thumb reflected in the surface of my stainless bar...
then again who KNOWS what you are seeing...

What about guitar color?
(Hi Lee, How are you doing?)
That's because there is no controversyy. Everybody knows green steels sound best, followd by black, red and blue in that order.
We won't even discuss p*rpl*.

I guess that it would be good to go to the "Newbe" Thread to see what subjects have been discussed previously..but It may take a Newbie the rest of his/her life (if they are as old as someof us) to get trough them all. and then ( the same as above "age") or could they remember what they have posted,or read..and when they have posted..especcially if they have that syndrom known as "CRS" as most of us "MORE MATURE" people have or suffer from...Now what the hell am I talking about ..and what was the subject?..Something about purple strings on a 12 guage table..I DUNNO???????????
