Interview

Post by Weldon Myrick »

Just wanted to say thanks to Cousin Carl & The Girl on Radio Station KWKZ IN Cape Girardeau, MO. for the interview and for playing my new CD "Texas to Tennessee".
It was fun seeing all of my ol' friends at the convention and meeting everyone that came by our booth. Thanks, Weldon Myrick

Weldon:
Steel playing is great on that CD, and you do a mighty fine job on the vocals as well!!

Guys:
Bought my copy from Al Brisco at Steel Guitars of Canada. http://www.steelguitarcanada.com/ Would imagine Scotty is selling them as well.

Great steel playing as well as Weldon singing 3 tunes. A great CD!!

Weldon!
I´d love to mail you the pics - the problem is that they exist in digital form, so I need an e-mail address to e-mail them to. One of the pics - the seminar participants gruoped around you - is at http://communities.msn.se/countryfolketiDalarna/dcmcsfotoalbum.msnw?action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=55
(with myself far right), but those web album pics are automatically cut to some 40 kB or so, and that´s too little to have in a decent home photo album. I´ll put out some more pics by and by in that photo album part under our home site at http://communities.msn.se/countryfolketiDalarna
but again, they´ll be pretty small in kiloBytes.
What do we do now?
By the way: We had a great time too, watching and listening to you, and the Frizell bro:s show must have been one of the best - if not the very best - that´s been held at Furuvik, Gävle.

Anders, I went to the Website and printed out the picture. Thanks for pointing out were you are in the group. It was such a pleasure doing that seminar. It was really a treat to see that many interested in the steel guitar. Fun trip and thanks for the picture. Weldon

Hi Weldon!

The data wizard at the radio station where I work solved our problem yesterday by telling me straight out: "Don´t be stupid! Burn down the pics on a CD and snail mail them to him! To e-mail several big pics will take too long time anyway."
So once again I felt really data stupid (a new but quite adequate linguistical concept) and said something like: ...eh?.. yeah, I´d better do that!"
So just give the snail mail a week or two to reach you under the above address (during wich you can invest in a CD player in case you don´t have one already).
Thanks once again for your great playing in Furuvik, and please tell the Frizells that their/your show was just GREAT!
(And if you happen to run into Lloyd Green, please remind him that he has promised to get himself a pc and get out on the web. In return I promised him to mail him pics from Furuvik. He was really great too, I can assure!

Regards!

Anders,
I'm not very savvy about all of this new technology either. I'll be looking forward to receiving the pictures. Thanks again,
Weldon

Weldon: I´ve just mailed a padded envelope to you with a picture heavy CD in it. Keep the CD (and save the stamp for some kid who collect stamps).
