Wow! Al played great, fresh and different must say he had a great band and knocked all of us out. His band was something else and really showed musicianship! Way to go Al, you deserve an earlier spot next year! Theresa

I'll second that motion. Al have not seen you on the forum very much, guess you have been spending time with the band, sounds like time well spent.

Al Brisco and all the group from Canada were worth the trip to St. Louis all by themselves. Everyone played very well by themselves and as a group.

Again, with envy, I missed this years convention. I guess I'll have to get out of the music business to afford going there! Congrats too to all of my Northern Steel mates, I've listened to these boys pick for years and know of their stature well. I'm sure they will get a better slot next year.

Thanks again for the nice comments. We all had a great time. Everybody was given a chance to shine and shine they sure did. Theresa, I also want to thank you, your mom and your dad for coming up to the stage after the show. All the boys appreciated this very nice gesture. Merci! Bob

Al Brisco is one of the best writers of modern instrumentals today, playing not only classics beautifully but his own compositions as well. Best, Boomer

Thanks Theresa & everyone for the kind words. It was really great to bring the band this year & let the convention attendees hear these pickers, plus some of our other Canadian steelers, such as Bob Taillefer, Doug Johnson, & Dale Rivard.
We have a few others that should be heard from, up here in the 'hinterland'...or should that be 'winterland'?
You're correct about my 'Forum' activity...it seems I barely have time to read the Forum...let alone respond.
I was so proud to be associated with all the Canadian Connection guys, not only great musicians, but also great people!
I want to publically Thank my wife Betty, as without her help, our fundraiser Pick-Nic's would not have been so successful.
Thanks to all,
Al Brisco
