Steel player's name?

Many years ago, Jimmy Dean had a TV program that was broadcast from Washington DC. Billy Grammer was the lead guitarist as I remember on this show. But who was the steel player? I seem to recall he used a Gibson Electraharp with three necks.
Is he still active. Does anyone know?

Carl, I don't remember the steel player, but I do remember Cecil Brower was the fiddler. A great country/swing musician and schooled in violin as well. Maybe that will shake loose some cobwebs from someone's memory.

I remember him, too (I even made the cows
wait sometimes for milking!) but I don't
recall his name?

It is my understanding that Marvin has passed on.

I used to watch the Jimmy Dean show when it was televised in Wash DC years ago. I could not recall His name until I saw it but I was really into his playing back then. I also liked that Female Country Bumkin' Jimmy had on the show with them. She sure went on to bigger and better things. I saw her on the Aurthur Godfrey Talent show the night she won
and I can still hear both of them singing and playing. Maybe I was more impressionable back then but I thought it was GOOD !

John Paul: How could I have forgotten Roy Clark ? He surely was on that show and talk about going on to bigger and better things, he done it too !! I can still see him Grinning on the Jimmy Dean show and all those HeeHaw clips that real people enjoyed so much.
Good to see you back around these parts ! Don't stay away so long next time. I like your input and so does Bobbe ! Try: Name That Chord under Pedal Steel.......
