Grand Old Opry

Post by Moon in Alaska »

I sure enjoyed the Opry, the steel players were great !! Tommy White was the only one I reconized and he sounded GREAT. One player was playing a special GFI with what looked like a lap steel front neck, and the E-9th as his back neck. Maybe some one will tell us who these players were ???? All of them were good and were up in the mix !!! Image

Moon, If you watched Ralph Emery's "Nashville
Now" Program on TNN a few years back you might remember Fred as the lead guitar player
in the Nashville Now band. Larry Sasser on
steel, Hoot Hester fiddle, Jerry Whitehurst
piano and band leader as I recall.
