I heard this pop hit on AM radio today, while stuck in traffic. Sounds like Neil Diamond.

The steel has a full solo.
Quite nice, in a Pop sort-of way.

Updated Edit
Oops..
Just found out it's by a band called Gallery.

Anyway, is that Paul on steel?

Yes, it does sound like Neil Diamond, doesn't it? You're right, it's actually a group called "Gallery". One-hit wonder from 1972. And yes, that was a very young Paul Franklin playing that tasty ride. If I'm not mistaken, that was his first chart "top 10" effort. ~<FONT SIZE=1 COLOR="#8e236b"><p align=CENTER>[This message was edited by Donny Hinson on 10 August 2001 at 07:54 PM.]</p></FONT>

Now that I know it's Gallery a search of Bar Chatter turned up this http://steelguitarforum.com/Forum1/HTML/010849.html

It's was Paul Franklin, at age 15.

I'm done talking to myself...
G'night Donny...

Close this one up, b0b!
