show, Brothers sing like one voice at times,
Buddy was pretty awesome, smiling, hardly

Yes Greg,___ Buddy never ceases to amaze. I'll be seeing them in L.V. at the Orleans soon.

Love your town of Calgary. Landed there and got to spend a few days when we went hiking in Banff.

My wife and I were there. I've been trying to find the right words to describe this incredible show. The best I can do is to say it was an entire evening of great music (excluding the opening act). Greg is right on in his description. He forgot to add that he and John Lacey and I got to shake the Big E's hand after the show.

BTW some of you have asked where Buddy sits on stage. On the Calgary show it was on the audience's right. How about in Edmonton?

I could kick myself! While I am not a pedal player, I do appreciate fine pedal talent, especially that of Buddy Emmons. There was no mention he'd be appearing with the Everley Brothers here in Edmonton. The write-ups in all the newspapers the next day were full of superlatives for the duo, still not one mention about Buddy! Maybe he was here, maybe not. Check to see if they'll be somewhere close.

BTW: The press, to my knowledge, have never mentioned Buddy being in their band in any articles about the brothers. They have been influential to so many artists that it's their musical history that they rely on for any articles. It's a little unfair to Buddy, (and all of us Buddy fans,) but knowing him, he probably likes it that way.

George, big thing is about Buddy that if he was/is a Hockey great, the newspapers would be full of it for many weeks before and after the event with T.V. coverage like you`d never seen.
Good job he`s a Steel Guitarist and one of ours

Yeah, in Edmonton Buddy was set up on the right as you viewed the stage from the audience.

And, it was a treat to see him name-checked in the review that Peter North wrote in the local paper (Edmonton Journal) the next day:

Gracious as ever, the two turned the stage over to their band momentarily and Buddy Emmons, who defined modern day steel guitar playing, guitarist Jamie Hartford, pianist Pete Wingfield and crew drove through some hillbilly jazz like a blazing comet with an extended life. A better band you won't find.

George, come to think of it I don't recall ever seeing an advertisment for the Edmonton show, but there must have been something when the tickets first went on sale. There were very few unsold seats. I echo everything that has been said already about the quality of the show, and it was a real thril to hear and see Buddy in that context.

Rick Dunn and I caught Buddie last night in Vancouver and even managed to shake his hand at the stage door after the show. As usual his taste and tone were impeccable. The Everlys announced that this was there last tour. Where are we going to see Buddie play after this???

Could be the brothers last Canadian tour. They have another one in August, a date in September and a couple in November, too.
Let's hope they aren't going to call it quits...(again.
