Hey guys, I've got a Fender 800 on the way that I'm going to be using as a non pedal (since the pedal rack is missing). I'm planning on putting E13 on the front neck and C6 on the back. I'm guessing the scale length on this guitar will be a little longer than a regular non pedal guitar. With that in mind, would a standard set of non pedal 8 string E13 and C6 strings work or would I have to adjust for the difference in scale length?
Thanks
David

David,
The regular sets of strings would be fine for that guitar. But, I'm sure a Fender 800 is a single neck 10-string. You may be getting a Fender 1000, which is a double 8-string that had 8 pedals.

Thanks for the info Rick. I must have been misinformed on the model numbers. I had been told that the 400 was a single 8, the 800 was a double 8, the 1000 was a single 10 and the 2000 was a double 10. Anyway, thanks for clearing that up for me. I'll go ahead and get some strings ordered |
