yes, we're going to be generating a whole bunch of statistics about us -- steel guitar players. You know, how many guitars we have, what kind, neck setup, how long we've been playing, etc. The more people who participate, the better the results will be, so let's go!

wow, the response the the survey has been great, and it's only been up for a few hours! You can see a snapshot of the results at this web page:

So far, emmons and sho-bud are neck and neck.

Thanks, Jody. I think so too. I often see topics on the forum asking about how many this and how many that, this will be a great way to get all the numbers in one place.

Any suggestions for new questions to add to the survey?

Check the On Line World Wide Steelers site.
You will undoubtly get ideas there to add to your survey.
Also there will be names there that might not answer your survey. You may want to include their stats.
Just rambling here.

I'm in! Seems like anything Ricky Davis is involved with is a friendly, fun thing, never anything negative from him. Great picker and great person!

No pun intended, I'm sure. Image

My entry will undoubtedly tip the scales in a big way to Emmons. However, Ricky: I need to see your Statement of Privacy Policy, since I don't want you selling my information to every telemarketing comapny in the country, like AT&T and Mastercard does!

"Hello?"

"Is this Mr., uh, Herman STEEEEner?"

"yes..."

"Mr. STEEEEner, do you still own an, uh, Edmonds steel guitar?"

"yes, but I'm very busy right now. If you could..."

"Mr. Steeener, at no cost or obligation to you, we'd like to enroll you, totally free for two months, in our..."

click.

well, at this point emmons is by far the leader. Must be some kind of glitch in the program -- who like emmons? Image What fascinates me is the variety of brands. And the average of almost 3 steels per player is real interesting. Soon I'll be posting which one is each players favorite -- that should be food for some interesting discussions.

Sorry, but I don't consider filling out a form as "fun".

I also don't see what my age has to do with it. It appears it is being used for a log in, but age and initials is a poor choice. Some may consider it personal information, that can be used.

Hey Jack; I had fun doing it... Image
That's fine pal you don't want to do it..I already logged in your stuff myself....I do know everything you have and your age Image...
I guess Stephen O'Brien can use a different log in situation;;;but we mean and will do no harm.
But so far...thanks everyone that has contributed and Stephen is crunchin' numbers already and we also appreciate all the kind words on the guestbook.....that is "Mighty" nice of ya'll.
