I took Dr. Aiello's advice, and had Jason Lollar transplant their new shoes into my JB frypan- the operation was a success! What was a good guitar is now a great guitar- I recommend this at least for the JB's, I would defer to Rick or Jason for an opinion on other models. Thanks again guys! |

Dr. Rick! You mean I'll only have to purchase 1/2 pair of shoes for my Fry Pan? |

They look beautiful Rick. I'll bet they sound just as sweet. Ahh, what a person can accomplish when he gives a damn about something! |

Thanks for the kind words Gary and Mike, but I only make the magnets .... Jason's bobbin is the "ticket" !!!
Bill Creller set me on the "right path" as far as the metallurgy goes ... and he also came up with the idea of incorporating "Adjustable Pole Pieces" ... an improvement over the originals ...
Ray, as Woody Allen said in his film Everything you Always Wanted ....

This is exciting stuff.
If you recall, several weeks ago, Jason had posted, asking to examine anybody's pre war EH 150 for pick up specs.
As my EH 150 was sounding less than desirable, Jason agreed to rectify the situation. After rewinding the pick up and replacing the pots, it sounds great, the way it should.
Jason is a gentleman and a pleasure to work with. This worked out well for the both of us. I recommend him highly. |

I found the link Rick Aiello put up (thanks Rick) and saw a picture of the horshoe magnets. I also measured my 10 string Ricky pu and its 1.5 so that must be the same pickup? Mine look exactly like the magnets Ricks holding in the picture.

Well ... the Horseshoe Magnet Pickup isn't all we are Resurrecting .....
I just finished a batch of Authentic Charlie Christian magnets that Jason is going to use in his NEW CC Replacement Pickups ...
He got an original CC pickup (thanks Howard) ... sent me the specs on the big bar magnets ... I'm puttin' the final touches on them today ...
They will be at his shop in a couple weeks ...
I also made some EXTRA LONG "Shoes" ... in this batch to use on Sierra Laptops and 10,12, or 14 string steels ...
Thanks for the nice comments ....
