It's a mid-1930's "Century Singing Electric". The pickup was made by Rickenbacher, but not the body. Whether Rickenbacher assembled the guitar for another distributor or simply supplied the pickup is unclear, according to George Gruhn. It's rare, but it sure ain't worth 20K what's the world coming to?!

What do you mean it's not worth 20K? There's even three pictures of it. Of course, I'd go for a discount, seeing as how the seller only threw in one punctuation mark.

"only one exclamation point"

and the seller has zero feedback and lots of spelling mistakes. Hmm… doesn't exactly inspire confidence.

I don't have one of these but I'll make anybody on the forum this deal:
For only 15 grand, I'll find you one and drive it to your house, set it up and tune it the way you like it. How's that for a bargain?

Actually , no exclamation points. If he had thrown some in, I would've had no choice but to hit Buy It Now. And if he had put L@@K!! in the title then I would have probably gone an extra grand.
I wouldn't mind having that guitar. At around 3% of his asking price.

Has anyone here ever heard how those sound? It would be pretty hard to beat a Ric frypan. Of course a 20 grand wall-hanger would be neat!!!
