Are these a set of C6 you have bought or did you buy individual gages? What exactly are the gages? Are you using the high C6 (with the 5th on top) or a low C6 with the 3rd on top? If you are using the low C6, your 6th string should be tuned to C above 440 A. This is the 3rd fret of the 5th string on a standard guitar. The 5th string would be the E that is found on the 2nd fret of the 4th string on a standard guitar. Your 4th string should be an open G, just like the open 3rd string on a standard guitar. Low C6 is the most common. The string gages should be in the vicinity of 6th-36, 5th-30, 4th-24. The scale length of the guitar makes a difference, too. But I have insufficient knowledge to comment on that.

Glad I could help. And I'm also glad it was something simple enough for me to help with.
