Was this ever implemented. If so where would I find the character set?

Thanks in advance;

Sherman

I'd be happy just to have a proper flat symbol. We can get a sharp sign # thanks to the US convention of using it to prefix a number. Subscript lower case b is close, but a disproportionate amount of effort.
Some of the symbols we do get seem far less usethan a musical flat.
Incidentally Cubase installs a music symbol font- I would guess that other score-writing sequencers do this too.
Cheers

If you can see the musical symbols in the test above, then the font on your computer is supporting the Unicode music symbols.

I can see them. I'm running Windows XP Pro with Microsoft's standard font set.

♩ ♪ ♫ ♬ ♭ ♮ ♯

To do these in HTML (or in a Forum message), you enter &# plus the decimal number of the glyph plus a semicolon ;

It means that your font doesn't include those characters. I think that the Forum is set to use the Verdana font by default. Maybe you can get a newer version of Verdana from Microsoft's web site.

I think I have some music staff and notes fonts saved somewhere on one of my computers. If I find them I'll upload them to my server and post a link so y'all can download them.

You'll need Acrobat Reader to view this document of Unicode music note text characters.

The hex number 1D100 is 119040 decimal. Here's another test:

𝄀 𝄁 𝄂 𝄃 𝄄 𝄅 𝄆 𝄇 𝄈 𝄉

𝄊 𝄋 𝄌 𝄍 𝄎 𝄏 𝄐 𝄑 𝄒 𝄓

Ok, What am I missing? I went to www.unicode.org and found a zip file that I assumed had the character files in them. All I got were several .txt and .html files. Where are the character files themselves?

Don't the files have to exist in the control panel -> fonts directory?

Thank you;

Sherman

B0b,
With the exception of the quaver, (eighth note) all your symbols are little squares on my PC.
Cheers
