Topic: Start button in the wrong place |

I don't know how I did it but the Start button and the associated bar is now on the left side with the Start button at the upper left corner. I want it back at the bottom of the screen. How can I do that?

No problem Sherman. Here's a tip that applies to taskbar visibility. If you right click on a blank spot on your taskbar and choose Properties, you'll be presented with checkbox options that control the look and visibility of your taskbar. These include:
- Lock the taskbar (keep it from being moved or resized)
- Auto hide the taskbar (it becomes invisible unless you hold your mouse pointer over it [MouseOver effect]), then it appears.
- Keep the taskbar on top of other Windows (standard behaviour. other windows end above it, or else have their bottom edge under it)
- Group similar taskbar buttons (causes multiple open windows from different applications to be ganged up into one taskbar button each, with an arrow that allows you to choose among them via a fly-up list)
- Show Quick Launch (Reveals the "Quick Launch" area on the left side of the taskbar, just to the right of the Start button. Icons in the QL area only require a single click to launch them. You can drag any icon into the QL and either copy it or move it there.) Default items in the QL are Internet Explorer, Outlook Express and Show the Desktop (minimizes all Windows).
There are many other options available from the Properties of the taskbar and Start Menu. Explore them!
