Hey Jeff,

What's the URL? I'd like to bid on this.

Thanks,

OK, a question I can answer. Charles was from the Decatur, IL area when I was growing up.I'm pretty sure he passed away a few years ago now. About once every couple of years he would bring all his inventions to the school and do a demonstration. He was somewhat of a electronics guru, always trying something new.As a kid I thought his stuff was odd. I played lap steel myself so I had an idea what he was doing but the other kids thought it was neat. He would make sounds like gun shots, race cars, space ships, etc. He basicly he had homemade devices like distortion and echo to achive his sounds. One final kicker, he had everything painted greenish/grey color, and I mean everything!!!

Mike: any chance that painting everything peuce was something to do with television appearances, like Gibson's TV Yellow?

That's a very cool poster, too bad it's only 9" x 12". The amp looks like a Gibson EH-185 and the volume pedal might be National MOT. Does anyone know what kind of Electronic Novatar he's playing? God, I hope he didn't deface a vintage instrument. Image
