My Outlook Express spellchecker has never worked because I don't have a compatible word program (MS Word) onboard. Well I just downloaded Open Office. Assuming that this provides the necessary missing ingredients (I have no basis for this assumption), how do I go about hooking up the two programs so that a spell check in OE accesses the spell functions in O.O. the way it would if integrated with MS Office?

There is a free spell checker that can be downloaded that will work with O.E.

I don't recall what it is, but do a google search and you should be able to find it.

Jack--30 minutes ago I downloaded that very one. Installed it, restarted OE and Houston, we have a spell checker.
Thanks.
