Does the Google Toolbar automatically come with Firefox, or can it be taken out?
I don't use it, it takes up screen space, and is just a nuisance.
I had Google Toolbar in IE for the anti-popup
feature, but that hasn't blocked anything since I installed it. So I got rid of it from ADD/REMOVE. It used to work. It's all screwy now.
I'm only using Firefox with Adblock Plus, now. The Google bar doesn't even show the pop-up icon. So what's the point in keeping it?
Any info on this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks all.

Hiya Wiz,
Thanks for those directions. I new it had to be
a simple one-click deal. Just knowing where to find it, is where the masters come in. I am new to Firefox, and a nuisance popup I was getting with both IE and Firefox [till I added Adblock]
and using Google Toolbar w/anti-popup just wouldn't go away.
Now, everything is clean, so far. I've still got the IE icon on my desktop, but I run everything thru Firefox.
One thing, however, I noticed with FF, is that if you save a website to your desktop after getting it thru FF, when you go back to it, you are now in IE. So I deleted all my desktop web icons {IE} and BOOKMARKED them thru FF and no problems now. Another step, but no popups.
I think there was a recent post about other folks having troubles with Google popup - like it's just not working anymore.
Anyway, Wiz, thanks again for the 'How Do You' answer. You can lock this one up, if you want.
