Peculiar printer problem...Help!

Upon reinstalling xp on my pc I cannot print my emails or anything directly off the net (by doing the normal process: File > Print). Yet if I drag the text into WordPad I can print it, and I can print images.

My printer is functional and shows up in the Control Panel. Does anyone know how I can get my pc to print text from these areas?

Open your Printers utility (Start > [Settings >] Printers and Faxes) and ensure that this printer is selected as your Default Printer (with a checkmark).

You can also verify that the default printer is selected in Internet Explorer by going to File > Page Setup > Printer (Button). To verify the selected printer in Outlook Express open an email message, click on File > Print and check that your printer is selected as the default printer. If it is not, use the Find Printer button to locate it.
