I've been using it for about a year, and I don't have anything to complain about. Very good spam filter, and it won't display image files without asking for permission unless it's from someone already in my address book, that's a cool feature. So I don't see any reason at all going back to Outlook.

I've been using it at home at work for about a year now. I'm quite pleased with it.

My experience: I am compulsive about saving email. I have saved virtually all my mail since I first went online in.....'96? I have folders & sub folders & sub/sub folders in my Outlook Express to organize it all. When I went to import everything from OE to Thunderbird my file structure didn't take. This was not acceptable to me so I ditched it and stayed with OE. I 100% expect that there is something I did wrong but I'm not that interested in pursuing it.

When I try try setup Thunderbird I get this message after entering all the required info:
"Please enter a valid hostname". I use Yahoo for my email. I enter the pop & smtp addresses as requested. Thanks for any help.

Richard;
Yahoo email is not designed for POP client use, but can be tricked into accepting it. See my instructions for Yahoo email and YPOPS, here.

YPOPS is a standalone program that interfaces between your POP email client and the browser based Yahoo email system.
