That is the standard "phishing" scam message. I get a lot of them, but my spam filtering program catches all of them. Most of them are very obvious because they are from places I do not (or never) have an account.

Legitimate messages from places do not ask you to update or verify data and usually will have your name listed, not a "dear sir", etc.
