| I'm about to slit my wrists.. I recorded a 60 second recording through the computer mic to display some changes that are not very common.. I tried to upload to a free host site but I couldn't.. The size of the 60 second clip was 6.68 MB.. how could THAT be??.. I posted a 5 minute song with NO problem.. Is the entire Winamp file part of this thing???.. what am I doing wrong??.. Looke like it was recorded at 16bit/44.1Khz, that would explain the big size (1 minute is roughly 10Mb). You need to convert it to mp3 at 128kbps, that would reduce it to approx 1/10th of the size.

Steinar,, I can't seem to convert it to mp3 with the free version of Winamp.. I think I need Winamp Pro, which I'm too cheap to pay for.
I can't even email it to you because I have a limit of 5 MB on attachments,and this is almost 7 MB... I think I'm gonna go drink some Benzene... anyone have an idea how I might do this?? bob

I use MusicMatch Jukebox to convert wav's to mp3's, it's free and you can get it here.
