I saw this and was wondering how good it is. Does it block popups?

I have used MS AntiSpyware Beta since day 1 of it's release. It is currently at Beta version 1.0.615, with definitions #5745. It is highly recommended as a security tool. The current Beta expires on Dec 31, 2005.

This product was named Giant AntiSpyware, which was purchased by Microsoft, late last year. Most of the executables in it still have the name Giant in the suffixes.

MS AntiSpyware does not block Pop-up ads, per say. It only detects and removes surrepticiously installed Adware and Spyware, which includes some programs that cause pop-ups to occur on their own. It does not contain a general purpose pop-up blocker. If you want a good pop-up blocker there is a good one available from CoffeeCup Software. I can Post the URL to it if you are interested.

I don't surf much, so popups aren't a problem. Thanks, Ron
