I noticed that my monitor was not quite as clear as when I first got it. Apparently the electrons build up on the inside of the screen with time, and the picture deteriorates.

I found a free program that I used to clean the inside of the screen and the improvement was quite noticeable.

If you'd like to try it, simply click on the following link. The program is free, works automatically, and takes only about 45 seconds to do its job.

I forgot to maximize the window, so it only cleaned a small part in the middle of the screen.

I've got an old hulking tv whose picture quality is really going south. I took the back off and threw one of my kitties in there and closed it back up. Didn't much care for it at first but I haven't heard any sound from him in a few days since the crackling sounds. Maybe I'll check on him tomorrow. Picture is still lousy. There has been an enticing odor of bar-b-q hovering around the house lately. Mmmmm..

Jon.
I think you have it wrong. To fix a TV picture you have to throw a small bird inside, called a gauess. In a few hours you let him out, thereby degauessing your TV.

Everybody knows kittys are for washers and dryers.
