Do you get that when you access the program or when you try to access Steel Radio?
Have you tried any other site?

Usually the "encountered a problem" is some type of application program problem, not an access problem with a site.

Try this URL and see what happens http://steelradio.serverroom.us:8600/
[This message was edited by Jack Stoner on 12 July 2005 at 10:32 AM.]

Download Winamp (free version) and try that. It should work OK.

What media player(s) have you tried? You don't want an "MP3" player as it's not MP3.

I have the same problem when I open Winamp the day after I have been listening. Just did so and the program kept searching but could not bring it up.

I go online to Scotty's site and click on the play icon. Works well, then.

Forgot to mention a problem that I do have now and then. Sometimes I have to remove the program and reload it. Once I tried simply reloading a program over top of the current one. Did not solve the problem until I removed the program and reloaded from scratch. It has happened with Winamp.

Another glitch is when I have been online a long time and told my laptop to go to sleep by closing the top so as to save info I am reading. Maybe going to get a couple of beers or whatever. When I bring back up the screen some programs will not work. I shut down and restart the computer. Works for me.

Since it happens with WMP and MMJB it may be an OS problem. The message your are getting is a Windows XP error notice that the application had an internal error.
If uninstalling the program, such as MMJB and reinstalling it doesn't help, it could be an OS issue. And when you uninstall an application, inthis case MMJB, always restart Windows BEFORE doing the reinstall. If you don't restart Windows and just reinstall the program, the original problem may still be there.

Bob, I'm using a free simple version of Winamp and steelradio comes in loud and clear. [My OS is HomeXP]. Try it out. It can't hurt.

Hey Bob Carlucci, just install the FREE Winamp, and click file..then under URL...install http://steelradio.serverroom.us:8600/ and everytime you want to listen to steelradio.com, all you will have to do is push play, and it will load and play steel radio.com..no reason to visit any web site to listen to it....

Yup, my Winamp acts just like George's. Sometimes all I have to do is click the Winamp icon and steelradio starts right up. Other times, I have to click 'play'.
Works real well.
