I really don't know where this should be posted but was wondering---do any of you have any first hand experience using any of the available trading software programs today ? To hear them tell it, they are all successful but we know better than that ! Thanks, Bill Myrick

In my hunble opinion, all the commerical software is a POS !!!! They don't allow you to do a moveing avagrage (realtime).

If you want to just track your investments, the commerical software is great ! but if you do futures or trade "teck",(ie, nasdag, etc, etc) none of the commerical programs will help you. The truth is that, Most often than normal, It will steer you on the down-side of the real-world happinings of the Stock-Market.

I have worked both sides of the market. I find that most commerical programs do NOT even begin to understand the indivusual needs and desires.

They ONLY track whats happened in the past !!
It's up to you, the investor, to be informed and make decisions on your stocks and such.

Another point is that that, Computer Tradeing (as by the large tradeing companys) will also have a reasonable impact on the priceing of a certain stock)and the day to day tradeing value of a XXX-stock price.

As in La-Vagas, The odds are aginst you, (the home-trader) to make a killin' in the stock market. While I am doing farily good with my portfolieo, I'm NOT in the Bill Gates value, I can live on what I'm receiveing. One must assume that I also receive retirement and other benifits also.

Bill

I've always found it to be cost effective to pay professionals to fix my car, my plumbing, my legal and health problems ......and my investments!
