I have simple guitar & bass tracks where the guitar will keep throwing in occasional bars of what sounds like a maj 7th chord as a substitute for the maj I chord. I don't have the embellishment setting on. Any thoughts. |

It depends on what style your using,I went through the different styles and picked out the guitar styles I liked then built the styles I liked or changed a style to what I wanted.Experiment with it, it's free and fun.

Another approach is to find the pattern that you don't like and quiet it or remove it. First take a look at the bar that you hear the maj7 in see if it a 2, 4 or 8 beat chord. Then go into edit current style and listen to the patterns that match the number of beats your using until you hear the one you don't like. At that point you can remove it or give it a setting of 1 which will usually never allow it to play. You can "country up" a style just by going in and reducing the number of patterns, this often times works prety good. Jim Baron |

In BIAB vn 10 (can't speak for earlier versions) theres an option under the 'USER' tab at the top called 'Jazz Down the Chords'. If you do this, it only uses straight triads throughout. |
